Our Vision...
We are a group of committed volunteers who are working to ensure that all students in Gig Harbor and on the Key Peninsula have the opportunity for high-quality early learning experiences that will prepare them for success in kindergarten—whether they start in public or private schools.
We believe that if every child can experience high-quality preschool that prepares them for success in kindergarten, we will be able to narrow the achievement gap that exists in our state and community. Surprisingly, this gap starts even before children enter elementary school and will impact their education all the way through high school.
We hope to provide a strong linkage between area preschools and daycares with kindergarten and elementary programs and schools through shared professional development for teachers and directors, parent engagement opportunities, improved communication, tools for transition from preschool to kindergarten, and community events, such as the Early Learning Jamboree and Kindergarten Fair.
